LAWRENCE MORROW

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND ANGEL INVESTOR

Lawrence Morrow has spent the last 20 years of his career in insurance, sales and counseling. He and his family have spent over 20 years in the aerospace and insurance industry. His family currently works for a subsidiary of PIMCO based in Newport Beach, California. Lawrence specializes in a unique combination of his background as a trained counselor and history in sales to identify unique opportunities in markets for consumers and government programs.

PIMCO is a global investment management firm with a singular focus on preserving and enhancing investors’ assets. For more than four decades, their mission has been grounded in a holistic investment process designed to apply rigorous top-down and bottom-up analysis of inputs to identify investment opportunities and risks. Since their founding in Newport Beach, California, in 1971, they have grown into a team of more than 2,200 dedicated professionals, with offices in 12 countries and trading operations in North America, Europe and Asia. They have an established reputation of innovation, and they continue to evolve as a provider of investment solutions across all asset classes.


MARIE SMITH

CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

Marie Smith’s ambitious entrepreneurial spirit has led her to be a founding contributor in her 20 year career to nearly 50 media, tech and wellness companies and projects which have contributed to over $100 million in transactions. After bringing her talents to work at Warner Brothers in their Consumer Products division, Marie Smith began developing her skills in the areas of advertising, sales, dynamic and automated operations, and marketing, working with companies such as Computer Associates, Electronic Arts, Viewpoint Datalabs, Digital Domain, Saatchi & Saatchi and the Nobel Foundation.

Additionally, through various ad agencies, Marie has worked with the following companies over the last 10 years: United Healthcare, Bausch and Lomb, Mercedes Benz, Oprah Store, Lindsay Phillips, Valley Crest, Wal-Mart, Macys, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna. Also, Marie has managed outside program, product and services development with both Twitter and Microstrategy. She also prototyped early social media advertising with Facebook and Rakuten.

Marie has continued her educational goals over the last 15 years by attending summer and online graduate programs with Harvard Program on Negotiation and Stanford Center for Professional Development. She is currently pursuing a JD and PhD in legal informatics from Stanford University (currently on extended hiatus).

Lastly, Marie has been a speaker/presenter, lectured at and produced curriculum for over 10,000 elementary, middle, high school, college students and workers online and in-person about coding, career development, corporate data analysis and technology development with Harvard Innovation Lab, the University of Southern California, University of California Berkeley, Los Angeles Trade Tech College, California State University Dominguez Hills, conferences and corporations throughout the United States and Europe.


DAVID YAMAGUCHI

Senior Vice-President, Legal

David has extensive experience guiding start-ups and small businesses as well as Fortune 500 corporations. He has extensive experience structuring and negotiating complex technology transactions, software and intellectual property licensing agreements, outsourcing transactions, and commercial agreements of all types.

His experience spans the globe with concentration in United States, Asia, India, and Europe. David also has a long history of managing attorneys and law departments. His Axiom clients have included leading technology giants like Intel, ViaSat, Flextronics, and Dell Computers.

Prior to joining Axiom, David served as Vice-President and General Counsel of PacketVideo Corporation, a leading provider of multi-media software solutions to the mobile and consumer electronics industries. Prior to joining PacketVideo, David served as Group Counsel for Nokia’s CDMA unit in San Diego, where he was responsible for providing legal support to Nokia’s CDMA mobile handset group worldwide. Prior to Nokia, David served as a Senior Counsel at Verizon, supporting both the wire-line and mobile telecom units.

David began his career at the Los Angeles firm of Memel, Jacobs, Pierno and Gersh, where he specialized in real estate law. He earned a bachelors’ degree in Finance at the University of Southern California, and a JD degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. David is a member of the California, Florida and Texas state bars.
